While black tights are a closet staple, the latest trend to hit TikTok is swapping out the neutral hue for brightly-colored styles. From emerald to blue, colorful tights are the perfect way to add a pop of color to any outfit. The latest iteration of this trend comes courtesy of Los Angeles-based designer Destiney Bleu and her brand Dbleudazzled. The dancer-turned-designer has been making crystal-studded fishnets for celebrities (including Katy Perry, Meghan Trainor and Shania Twain) for years now. Each pair takes Bleu and her team hours to hand-dazzle and create, with prices starting from $100 (£82) for basic fishnets.
Bleu also offers ‘industrial’ versions of her tights for performers, which have slightly stretchier fabric and crystals higher up the legs (see photos below). Her creations are so popular that stars like Kylie Jenner and Dua Lipa have stepped out in Dbleudazzled’s designs on social media. The pair are a great alternative to bold tights for those who want a more sophisticated look, and you can easily style them with a miniskirt set, leather mary janes and a turtleneck.
If you’re still not sure about the look, why not take your cues from Bleu and experiment with a single shade? We love the idea of wearing red bling tights with a monochromatic outfit, as exemplified by Jenner’s Barbiecore vibe in her Valentino-inspired pink look.
