A bling necklace is an ornament worn around the neck, and typically includes pendants, lockets, amulets, crosses, and precious and semi-precious gems. The phrase “bling bling” was coined in the early 90’s by rapper lil Wayne. During that time, many Hip Hop artists needed to prove their worth in order to make it in the industry.
